According to Wikipedia, it says that:

Statistics is the study of the collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation of data.^[1][2] It deals with all aspects of this, including the planning of data collection in terms of the design of surveys and experiments.

You have to know what works and what works and accurate, current statistics are a great place to start. As of now, the statistics compiled here are in no orgnaized fashion, but they are usually current within the last 60-90 day. In today’s economy and technological environment, that’s still running  a risk of being outdated. But never fret or fear, We update them on a fairly consistent basis.
